Fire Rated Doors

Fire rated doors can be either wood or metal slabs with fireproof cores. They can be labeled for various lengths of resistance time ranging from 20 minutes to 3 hours. These doors are designed to provide safe egress from a fire and reduce the smoke hazard effects. They will meet or exceed the UL 10B, UL 10C, UBC 7-2 and ASTM E-152 requirements.

Fire Rated Hardware

We offer fire rated locks, exit devices and door hardware. The locks are designed to withstand high temperatures at various lengths of time to provide ease of egress during an emergency. Exit devices are designed for ease of egress and can also come with alarm sound functions.

Rolling Door Drop Testing

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requires annual function or drop testing for fire activated rolling doors and shutters. A&A offers testing using the latest technology and documentation to get your doors or shutters tested and certified. Call for details.

Fire Rated Rolling Doors and Counter Shutters

A&A also installs and services fire rated rolling doors and counter shutters in locations where a fire rating is required. They can be connected to the building’s existing smoke and fire alarm or set to be activated by a specific temperature. Fire-rated rolling doors and counter shutters are UL, C-UL, FM, and CSFM-labeled. Because of the different sizes of door or shutter openings, we recommend setting up a free on-site evaluation and estimate.
